I created this brand out of frustration because I could never find jeans which fitted my body right. I've been into fitness for a long time, I've worked hard and myself, and I grew not just muscle but confidence too. But... as soon as I was out of gym wear and had to choose an outfit that confidence dwindled, it was pure anxiety. Everything made me look bulky, or cut into my thighs, or gaped at the waist. Plus size catered for my quads but not my waistline. I stopped wearing denim, and getting ready involved constant melt downs. I knew I wasn't the only gym girl to feel this way...
So I took it upon myself to solve the problem. I only knew of one company that made jeans for fitness girls, but I didn't like their product- it was reallyyyyy stretchy denim that didn't align with my more classic style inspired by the 90's. Plus it cost £120. I wanted to create a jeans brand which was real denim, capsule pieces, and was more affordable. I envisaged a brand which was more real, down to earth, showing life unfiltered.
It's taken me 3 years from concept to having a product, and this business is like my baby now. I've put my heart and soul into creating clothing which makes women feel confident in their body. I hope when you wear Junk Jeans you realise that your body was never the problem, the fashion industry was. I hope that you can now wear the cute outfits you wanted too, that you can show up in your life more confidently, and go live out your pinterest board life.
